I've blogged a little for Skirt! Sadly little. I'd heard so much about blogging, about how profitable it can be, etc.. I didn't understand how, especially when the gig for the lovely, cool and fun site Skirt! was a non-paying one. The constant refrain from Jesus Christ Superstar, "What's the buzz, tell me what's a-happening?" sung by hippies dancing in the background of my mind stayed in the background until I started reading this month's issue of Women on Writing at

And now the light has turned on. The dancers doing their jazz pirouettes now have the sparkly rhinestones on their costumes illuminated. I am beginning to blog in earnest. I even have my own little amazon bookshop set up. I set it up today, during the halftime of the Vikings game. I must say, Bret Favre and the Purple People Eaters are not the only ones who can accomplish a lot on a Sunday. I made french toast for my daughter, her friend, my husband and myself this morning. Put a pork roast in the crock pot with fresh cilantro, some red pepper and garlic so I can fix up some yumm-o tacos tonight. I even made lunch and cleaned up the kitchen twice. And now I am blogging away.
Like on the offensive side of the football, making my blogs successful is all about forward progression. There will be set backs. Negative yardage is bound to happen now and then. So long as I'm always working towards that fresh set of downs, positive things will happen. Regardless, it'll be a good game.
