This is my true story of being influenced by your environment and making several transitional changes according to "The Book".
From as far back as I can remember, I wanted to live my life according to "The Book". It wasn't half as easy as I was made to believe by my family(Mother).
The term "Growing up faster than you should", is a term many people use to try and understand the plight of MANY children all over the world. The sadness is, that these children are on a mission to survive. Survival is not always obtained according to "The Book"; it may come about as a complete surprise with no innate ability to comprehend the drastic changes "living" causes.
My mother was always a caring, loving, strict disciplinarian because she was a single parent with two daughters, whom she wanted to live a good life and have the best of everything...she raised us in this manner. Mother and my father really didn't click so, she left him in Mississippi and came north to seek her fortune. My grandmother raised me to the age of three and she died in her sleep and I was left alone to fend for myself for three days..."Quite a start towards independence huh"?
Marie did not start out as a true original O.G., in every ounce of the word. Making eternal friends with the Black Stone Rangers, running Guns, hangin out with politicians and various other things allowed her to realize at a very early age (12) that it was sink or swim. She became the sole support of her family at such a crucial formative age. How many times was she institutionalized? Not just hospitals but the worst jails in the United States. Now Marie is helping others who feel they might want to walk in those shoes or think they want a thug life to see; the other side of the fence where the grass is greener, cleaner, drug free and moderate livable stress management.
Publish america.com will be releasing "For Mist", (March 1, 2010)a rewrite of the original "The Book", written by Marie Johnson.
