As you may know, Women's Memoirs has an interview series called Author Conversations. We've been getting access to some very interesting, and accomplished, memoirists. This week is no exception. This is Sue William Silverman week. Sue is an award-winning author and author of
Because I Remember Terror, Father, I Remember You (University of Georgia Press, 1996) and
Love Sick: One Woman’s Journey Through Sexual Addiction (Norton, 2001, and now in paperback).
Most recently, Sue published a writing book, called
Fearless Confessions: A Writers Guide to Memoir; much of our conversation will revolve around this book and a general discussion of writing and publishing.

To kick things off, yesterday (Tuesday), Sue posted an excellent guest blog on our site. She has some interesting things to say to anyone looking to write about aspects of her personal story. I invite you to drop by and read her thoughts. Also she includes an excellent writing prompt that might just get you on the road to writing your own book-length memoir. You can find her blog post on
Women's Memoirs, called "Who Is that Masked Memoirist?" here.
I encourage you to do more than read Sue's post, however. I hope you'll participate in the process and actually shape the interview. We invite you to post a question for Sue in the form of a Comment. Then on Thursday, when Matilda Butler and I talk with Sue Silverman, we'll read your question, and Sue will answer it.
This is your chance to get a successful author to answer your most burning question. And if you want to listen in to the call, you'll find the time and phone number listed on the post.
Hope to "see" you there.
