20 Things to do mid book tour:
1. Start working out
2. Check Amazon ratings
3. Think about what more you could be doing
4. Make children's dr, vaccination, soccer, fall activities schedules
5. Try and coordinate itineraries with out of town relatives and friends in order to please everyone
6. Accept invitations to stay at old friends' houses even if you haven't seen them in 20 years
7. Try to write
8. Eat raw cookie dough and vow to start working out tomorrow because the photos being taken of you, in particular, your upper arms, are alarming
9. Remember to be grateful
10. Uncover old rollerblades and dream of the days when you were 27 and blading along the beach in California with the sun on your back, imagining you'd be this free forever.
11. Fall in love with readers
12. Find at least 5 people at each reading whose stories you'd love to listen to
13. Send thank you notes
14. Reconnect, disconnect, connect
15. Take your children with you as often as possible
16. Renew faith in the human spirit
17. Renew faith in yourself
18. Fall in love again with your book
19. At readings, speak from your heart
20. Covet happiness
