Well, you could take this route for hiccups....
A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by the youngest doctor on staff. After a few minutes in the examination room, she ran down the hall screaming. An older doctor stopped her and settled her into another room as she told him her story. The older doctor marched down the hallway back to where the young doctor was writing on his clipboard.
"What's the matter with you?" the older doctor demanded. "That patient is 61 years old. She has four grown children and seven grandchildren. And you just told her she is pregnant?"
The younger doctor grinned. "Does she still have the hiccups?"
Or you simply could straighten your esophagus. I have always had success with the idea that hiccups are caused by a crimp in the esophagus. Leaning backward, stretching upward, relaxing completely works for me. No heart shocking scares or deep breathing, no holding your breath, no lemon juice or paper bag over your head. Definitely, no postmenopausal pregnancy scares either.
Pass it forward, please.
