In response to my friend's suggestion, I developed a denoumente in which Margie, the character kidnapped in Iraq, writes e-mails to various characters after her release from captivity, interspersed with headlines from newspapers covering her speaking tour.  Also  developed back cover text for the one-cut-above-lame fan fiction that Marcus and Spike wrote.  I was aiming for bad fantasy fiction  (or even good fantasy marketed badly):
