Last year I did quite a bit of research in preparing to write a poem. The poem has been written and is awaiting revision. A lot of what I read stayed with me. Later, when I came across a poem by Toge Sankichi that is inscribed on a monument in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, I wrote a post for my blog, using the title of Sankichi's poem, "Give Back the Human".

Today marks the 65th anniversary of the dropping of "Little Boy" on Hiroshima. Today, Sankichi's poem remains as relevant as ever.

Here is the post I wrote last year: http://writingwithoutpaper.blogspot.com/2009/10/give-back-human.html
