Can you feel, chills up the spine?  Man...time flew past and I'm still chillin' in South Dallas, writing, designing and...oh snap.  I've got like 13 nieces and nephews.  The oldest nearly ready to graduate high school.  I call them, my crumbsnatchers.  Since I relocated to Sunny D, (from SoCal) in 1995, my goal was to become a full-time novelist /actor.

Well that didn't turn out as planned.  However, I did get a chance to write and produce my first music demo, act in a few commercials, videos and an indie film with actress/singer Nia Peeples.  Hold up wait...my stunning 30-second performance with 1 line, got sent to the cutting room floor. EGADS!  I've written articles, conducted interviews and even dove into graphic design with reckless abandon.  I LOVE IT!  I did make attempts to submit a manuscript or two over the years, before deciding to self-publish a book of poetry, and a paranormal suspense short story collection.

I did all this in between crunching numbers for a media company.  Fast forward, it's about to be 2013, and with that, my 40th bday.  I want to try something different next year, but that will require pulling a few hot irons from the fire and re-prioritizing things.  I definitely want to have a NOVEL, not a collection of short fiction, but a NOVEL published.  Would love to find it a home, gain an agent and finally finish a teleplay I've been working on.  Ya see...I already have a list of things to do.  So I really have to think hard.  I'll get it together.

In the meantime, what are your 2013 goals?
