Ok, that might be a bit over the top, but I’m happy to say that I met my goal of writing 20,000 words between Friday morning and Sunday evening. I wrote 20,016 words, which brings my grand total up to 45,546. I’m almost finished chapter 10 and am about halfway through the book. What did I write about, you ask? The usual – kidnappings, mermaids, broken hearts, spurned lovers, slit throats and an Anjelica Huston look-a-like.
I also discovered that I’m quite fond of writing from the point of view of my heroine/protagonist Cedar, but I find it quite difficult to write from the point of view of my villain, Nuala (which may be a positive thing, because if I enjoyed being inside her head I would not be a very good person).
