It took the last therapist I saw about 30 minutes to observe, "so rejection's kind of your thing, huh? That's the devil that follows you isn't it?" And that was BEFORE I started writing! Being a writer and publishing a book that even my family and friends didn't buy is tough on the nerves. I'm thinking I should have gotten my tribe together before striking out with this writing thing. But, like with marriage and baby-carriage, I have a tendency to do things in all the wrong order. So, I'm shoving aside my introverted, "not-a-joiner" ethos (straight-jacket?) and striking out to find my tribe. Enough of the rejection thing!

I'm a blogger and an author and wanna-be speaker who's really a fun, interesting odd ball with a tendency to say things that make people feel stupid. Not because I think they are stupid. I actually like people a lot. I'm just really good at accidentally triggering everyone's hang-ups. I apologize ahead of time. (Oh - and I write long run-on sentences. And need an editor. Badly.)

So, if you have a tribe I can join . . . or want to try and start one with me . . . or (especially) have some experience finding a tribe and can offer some how-to's . . . please share! I'm new to this whole joining thing. Oh - and if you have a blog and leave a link with your comment - I'll check it out. And if you want to check mine out, it's The Upside Down World. I know there's an awful lot of religion there - it's my thing. But I like being around lots of different people who think and believe lots of different things. Which is probably why I've never had a tribe now that I think of it. But I'm just saying, I hope you'll visit, but I hope you'll also understand that I'm not "one of those people". Just looking for some folks who will accept and encourage me. And let me do the same for them!
