My favorite place to write is at anchor. There are the silent sounds of nature, fresh air, and no temptations from the outside world.

Writing onboard is a seasonal luxury. During the off-season, I can write just about any place, as long as I have silence. Car trips are good. I plug my laptop into the inverter and have a constant source of power. With my IPod on "white noise" I drift blissfully into the writing zone for hours at a time while my husband listens to the radio and drives.
