As I am working my way through this maze that is the blogging world, I have come across various bloggers that have inspired me. It has been fascinating to read of how others are making their way through the challenges that the world tosses in our paths. Alice Bradley, The bloggess, and Pretty All True, all come to mind. Today however, I have been truly overwhelmed by Jane at: FlightPlatformLiving.com.
She left a comment on my blog at bridgetstraub.com that made my day, so naturally I went to her site. Not only is she a gifted artist, but she is reaching beyond herself to help others. I am in awe of all that she is doing in the name of a little girl, Francine, who is living in an orphange, (I'm guessing somewhere in England.) Not only is she trying to raise money, but more importantly, awareness of these children with special needs, whom when not adopted early on, end up being placed in mental institutions. She has managed to come up with numerous ways we can help, even if it's with something as simple as writing this blog. I had no idea this could happen, here in 2011, and I am glad to do whatever I can to see that Francine and others get placed into a loving home before being locked away at the ripe old age of four! Please check out FlightPlatformLiving.com and at the very least give Jane the moral support she so richly deserves.
