Our Westie puppy loves the Whoosh! of wind in his face as a back seat rider. Picture by Manju.

Pretty good even GREAT moments happen during our teen years. There's a natural ebb and flow to life. Everything doesn't stink. And everyone isn't against us.

As a writer, I give my characters depth by injecting humor. Readers close the book on constant anger and misery. Samantha, the main character in my novel TRIPLE B, shares her feelings through humor.

    from my novel TRIPLE B
(Samantha and her best friend Robin)
After taking a few strides in silence, Robin asks, “Are you going to tell me
what happened or do I have to guess?”
“If I replay my morning, you’ll just roll your eyes,” I answer.
“Tell me anyway,” Robin says. Easing her navy tote bag off one shoulder,
Robin switches the weight of her three texts books to the other shoulder.
“I poked the grumpy bear with a stick,” I reply, glancing sideways to catch
her classic eye roll. She really should enter a worldwide eye rolling competition.
