A lot of young women I've spoken to lately are writing under initials, middle names, anything that could afford leeway in sex identification. This shocks me. I thought that was over a long time ago. Take back your names, girls! Be Susie and Judy!
As for PW--it's bewildering. How can this happen? Their explanation is the worst part--that it's a straightforward tabulation.

Really? This is fascinating. I wonder if we could do something on this for the site -- I wonder how many of our members use pseudonyms. Maybe we could do a survey to find out...?
