Since goodness knows when, but obviously well after it was created, I have been blog paranoid. More than a friend or two has said I should keep a blog, since I write in so many other spaces; from group email updates to whatever moderate venue for an audience I can muster. But, “No!” I could not do it; struggling with the notion of not seeing how to honestly share with a more public audience without airing the proverbial dirty laundry. Additionally, I was not too sure that I was ready to publicize my (I)-Writer’s desire for a perpetual audience.
And then came, She Writes, along with a plethora of other conditions pointing me to the obvious fact that I and only I could determine how I blog in ways that sit comfortably with its publicity.
Putting it simply, I have decided to use my She Writes blog space to share my many attempts at creative writing because many of the pieces (old and new) embody my mediocre insights into this topsy turvy world without revealing who’s who – except for those of you who already know yourselves. I hope to be able to give any one of you readers a piece of mine that resonates with your thinking, feeling, desiring, or otherwise. So bear with me as I tentatively use this ether-out-there space to air my many hyper-tensions. For what else is a woman, in this century, to do?
