I worked on my book for decades, gathering facts and scrutinizing interview value. It was published by Phoenix Books, a publishing company that closed its doors just when CNN got involved in my book and it took off. E-Reads Publishing saved the paperback and released the book for Kindle and other downloads just last month. At Amazon, we reached as high as #2 in True Crime, and #7 in Entertainment Biographies genres. But, although "Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour" book is released with updated information in the paperback and e-versions, my topic does not end because a mission is attached. The high-profile case of legendary actress Natalie Wood's death was never properly investigated. My book is an eye/ear witness account from the former yacht captain, Dennis Davern, of the yacht Natalie "went missing" from. We are trying, along with Natalie Wood's sister to get the case reoepened.
Non-fiction books often become something aso much more than a published book when the actual writing is complete. It becomes a long, lonely toll road when an important issue is the base of a work. An attorney read GNGS and started an online petition to help convince officials that the Wood case should be reopened. If any of you fellow authors would like to help, I'd be so grateful for your book reviews at Amazon, and also if you'd sign the petition we intend to submit early next year. Thank you for your time.
