STARS.By V.M Honey.

TO BE WRITTEN IN REVERIE. FOR A RISING STAR.

I stand in my garden some nights, trying to pick out the stars.
That's hard in a garden like ours.
The lights of the city drown them out.
It calms me after the crowds.
After the adulation. Salutation from the people.
To find quiet ...To find me.

Come to the country as fast as you can.
I hold millions of stars right here in my hands.
For you.

The moon I can see ...Some nights it seems misty,
Some nights it seems dreamy.
Those nights I feel healing,
Come down from the ceiling, of cheers and standing ovations
From so many nations.........
I come back to the Earth, to my roots.

Come to the country as fast as you can,
I've calmness to spare here over this land.

I seek out the silence.
To help keep the balance.
I am what they shout.
It's what I'm about. An earthbound star.
I scatter my feelings, my deepest emotions, and put it all out there
As a gift to the people.
Who travel the pathway of everyday living. Give them a piece of me for their hearts and their eyes.
Giving and giving ... My soul.

Come to the country as fast as you can
I hold rest from your travels.
It is here that I guard your soul in my hands.
Safely.

I am weary and scattered. Like the tail of a comet...
Across the footlights.
But I deliver the goods
Do the journey,take the journey.
Night after night.
For them.

Come to the country as fast as you can.
Here you are whole, safe in my hands.
Sleep ...Restore...
Until it begins again.

Valerie, this is lovely. It's so peaceful and calm, not in some New age-y way but from the perspective of one who knows, who has been there, who has seen much, and lamented more. Your imagery is beautiful.
