We had a fabulous turnout--at the height of the evening--45 attendees!! Many writers in Nashville got to hear about She Writes and the wonderful advantages of being a member of this on-line community. We made the evening into a mix of writers reading from their work and mingling with one another. Midway we read the She Writes Credo, lit a candle on a piece of cake (Death by Chocolate-yum!) and sang happy birthday to She Writes and blew it out. At the end of the evening we announced the Passion contest and gave the details about this wonderful opportunity. We let everyone know that to get in on this contest they had to join She Writes. It was wonderful to meet fellow She Writes members as well as seeing how many women writers there are in Nashville--and this is just the tip of the iceberg! I have been in Nashville for years and MOST of the writers were unfamiliar to me. I want to especially thank the She Writes women that showed up and welcome the new She Writes women who have joined.

This sounds like it was a great time! I am new to SW (1 day old) and would like to know how I can be informed of upcoming events offered by SW Nashville.

Yes! Come to Nashville, Kamy. We'll use it as an excuse for a Salon event. Thanks for the complimentary words Deborah and Kamy. This was a great start for community building. Wouldn't have happened without She Writes.

I cannot tell you how moved, inspired, and totally floored I am to see this amazing group of women together in Nashville, and knowing that She Writes had some part in your coming together. I can't wait to get to know all of you -- I think a trip to Nashville is in order!!
