Back from Singapore. I saw a loved one for the last time. She passed on her birthday. 95 years. An amazing woman.

One day I will write about her life. Her beauty. Her love. Her strength. Her incredible ability to remember numbers and people. Her enjoyment of the cold yet giving of warmth. Her occasional nasty streak and intolerance of youngsters pretending to be asleep on buses and trains to not surrender their seat to someone needing it more. She was a fighter, a protector of all she loved.

To Nan, I love you. I hope I can be as courageous as you were.
