Writing historical fiction was something I knew I wanted to write, but wasn't quite sure what to expect. Wow! what a journey. Since I began this large project I have signed myself up for, I am now an advocate for these women of our history - that the history books forgot to mention ~err. The notes I have taken for a memoir of this journey, and a new found love of journal writing. I have always kept a journal, but now it has more meaning.
Something my children will read and see who I really am. Not this mother who was always saying 'brush your teeth, clean your room, do your homework.' you know those annoying phrases your kids mock at you behind your back.
Very interesting journey. Who knew?

I think that is awesome your kids support you. Funny how you mention the dust balls rampaged. I started writing and a few times I noticed eyeballs starring at me. When I looked up I would get the question "are you making dinner?"
Thanks for sharing.

My grown children or their friends read my books and yes, I think they do see me in a new light! My younger son had turned many of his friends on to my books and my daughter-in-law raffles them off in gift baskets for school fund-raising! so I guess they know now what mom was doing those thousands of hours on the computer or typewriter before that when the dust balls rampaged!
