It's been a momentous month for me.
I was divorced from my spouse two years ago, and we'd agreed that I would keep the house ... as long as I could refinance it. But refinancing when one is self-employed and when one's house appraises for far less than one expected ... well, it's been a scary roller-coaster ride. And this past Tuesday I closed on the refinanced mortgage, so my house is now my own!
And then on Friday I finished my 50,000 words for National Novel Writing Month, five days before deadline! I sent it off to my co-author for her comments, edits, and so on, and hopefully by late next spring you'll be seeing it as the second Irene Adler mystery (www.ireneadlermysteries.com) from Echelon Press.
So, all in all, an amazing November.
Still a lot to do ... I'm ghostwriting a romance novel that's due on December 10th, and I have a nonfiction project that needs to be finished by the end of the year, but the warm feeling derived from knowing that I'm secure in my home, and the knowledge that I really can take on these projects and move them to completion, means that I'm looking forward to a very good December as well!
