Right now I am a little anxious about finishing up my work titled, "Who Cares What You Think...So What You Think? A Journey Through the Mind." The book does not specifically fit into any specific genre, in that it fuses prose with a little bit of poetry to accurately depict my emotional state, so I think creative non-fiction is the best way to describe it.
I am elated that I have come this far with it but am a little weary about writing my query letters. I have constantly struggled with wanting to go with a traditional publisher, concerned they may not give it a chance because of the nature of the writing and the fact it doesn't fall into any specific category. Should I self-publish or continue on this path? I'm not sure I want to put in all the work self-publishing requires since I am working full time and have two little ones.
I guess as I contemplate, I'll continue to make revisions. A solution is likely to reveal itself.
