I live pretty close to New Jersey, and I guess we're all about to get walloped by Hurricane Sandy, so I'm hoping no huge trees decide to fall over and punch a hole in my roof. Last winter a tree fell on the roof but the tree was the one that suffered rather than the roof. Several years ago a tree fell on a beloved '63 Volkswagon bus in my yard and demolished it. So the trees around here are a worry. My house is situated in a way such that when winds do pick up around here, it sounds like a freight train drawn by the hounds of hell. My backyard is an echo chamber.
Now for a poll.
When is it appropriate to act like a veritable fool?
a.) Whenever you feel like it.
b.) Whenever there is peer pressure involved.
c.) Whenever there is a huge hurricane and a full moon arriving on the same day.
d.) Whenever you're pretty sure that instant karma ain't gonna gitcha.
e.) Can you repeat the question?
f.) all of the above.
And:
Fill in the blank--
Now why would I do a ________ thing like that on the way to Shambala?
Is the answer?
a.) dumbass
b.) highly-skilled
c.) conspicous
d.) phantasmagorical (love the definition involving the magic lantern, as if we know even know what they're talking about)
e.) all of the above
And now for a video, one of my all-time favorite songs, Shambala, actually a cover of a Daniel Moore song, apparently, done by Three Dog Night.
Now, I'm so so, SO sorry but I just have to put this one up, too--Old Fashioned Love Song
