We won, we won! Sins of the Mother won an NAACP Image Award!

Life as a writer is one wild ride. Friday I walked a red carpet in Hollywood. I mingled with celebs. I even shook Angela Bassett's hand! And, best of all, I went on stage with the producer and teleplay writer of Sins of the Mother to accept the award for Outstanding TV movie!

Don't know why this is sideways, but it's me, Rosalyn McMillan and Terry McMillan.

 

Monday, I'm back at home doing freelance work, feeding the cat, going to the store, being boring. But I am so grateful that every now and then, if you're lucky, the writing world gives you an opportunity to have a little glam.
