Too often, I've allowed personal and work responsibilities push my writing to third place. At the start of this year, I made a commitment to do something about reordering my priorities; consequently, I now devote the hours between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. to writing. So far, it's working, and I feel good about my progress.
For the second year, I've posted a "2011 Projects" board on my bedroom wall to keep me on track.
After reading Rebecca Rodskog's article on "future pull" and visioning statements, I intend to follow her advice and compose statements about various areas of my life--especially as they pertain to creative endeavors. Each statement is written as if already accomplished.
I hope that you're on track with your writing at whatever stage.
