I haven't been on SheWrites much lately. Been busy doing my own "thang" I suppose. I'm curious as to what my SheWrites friends are up to, writing-wise, though. Right now, I'm waiting to hear back from 2 agents who have requested my full manuscript of The Time Minders. I'm still working on Kingdoms of Blood & Magic, but not as diligently as I should, since I've been querying/submitting for the TTM, doing scads of tutoring at my daughters' school and work for our church's youth group. How about YOU?
Thank you! I was wondering if Batman was your real last name or a nom de plume. Either way is cool, by the way, but I imagine if it is your real last name you probably have a lot of people humming the Batman theme song around you when they see you coming.

Vicki, Thanks for your friend request, and I would love to be friends. There are so many places for folks to promote books online, and so few venues for writers to connect, and I really value She Writes for that connection - getting to know other writers and helping each other (help and support that was indispensible to me before and as I was getting published, and still is). Because of that, I've held to a policy since I joined of accepting friendships only from people who don't use book jacket covers or other promotional materials as their "face" here. I do understand the desire to have folks know that you have a book they might buy - please believe me on this. I certainly keep the jackets of my novels up on my homepage. But I like to think we are here for something different, and nearly every one of the wonderful writers here – including many award winning ones – do use personal photos. If you decide to change your profile photo, I would be delighted to count you as a friend.
