Hi Daphne - Alaska is..dark this time of year. Check back with me in summer when I like it better :) I'll take a look at your blog - I'm going to start one next month, so I'm looking for pointers on how to get one going and how to get it found by people.

Hi, Daphne. Thanks for your kind note. I have yet to try to market my Kindle e-book. I'm planning to jump into promoting it when my freelance work drops off in November. (It usually does this time of year.) My first step will be to ask some advice from marketers! The adventure begins. Claire C

My book went live on Amazon for paper and Kindle versions. The Kindle really gave me some problems and I'm quite freaked out about my baby being out there fore the world to see lol.
Thank you so much for your comment! It cheered my soul -- may yours be cheered today too in some amazing way. Peace, Niki

So are you doing the self-published thing? That's what I'm doing and I have the paperback done (I think...waiting on the proof) but the formatting for the Kindle is KILLING me!!!

Thanks for being a friend. The number of published books represent 35+ years of typing in the basement. When it comes to writing, I think persistence counts as much as talent.
Your book sounds interesting...My second novel, 'To be Maria', a contemporary YA novel, follows the story of two 17-year-old girls who seek out popularity only to find love in the wrong places. 'To be Maria' was released in electronic format on July 31, but the paperback is set to be released sometime this fall. I can't wait.
Hi Daphne, Zoe Brooks said you might be interested in being tagged for the Next Best Thing. It's a blog networking project. You answer ten fun questions about your work in progress on your blog and then tag five other bloggers to do the same the next week. I'm answering next week and would list your blog site and those of four others. If you're still interested, could you contact me at jlnewton@ucdavis.edu? I"ll send the ten questions. Thanks!
Hi Daphne. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I love British Columbia...for the most part...It's where I've lived all my life. How about you? Where do you live, and what type of book are you writing?
Hi Daphne, Thank you for a very nice welcome. There are a lot of very talented people on She Writes . I am thankful for all they're wisdom. I will be tapping into a lot of advice.
"This is terrific! It sounds almost exactly like something that happened to a close friend of mine. The girlfriend wasn't a pastry chef, but she too was from a foreign country. I'd like to hear more so keep writing... "
