I can highly recommend Denise Biondo. Here is an example of her work.
http://cleemckenziebooks.com, but each site she builds is very different. She tailors each one to suit the author and her work. Plus she a dream to work with.
Thanks, Kamy! I don't know Kathryn, but the children's publishing world is pretty small, so I'm sure she and I know some people in common.
I am not usually a fan of new networking sites, but I really like what you're doing with She Writes and hope it will continue to grow. I feel like I've had many conversations with other writers lately about the need for more community-building just like this. I'll spread the word...
I have tried on several occasions this week to unjoin this website to no avail. The "unjoin" click isn't working for me. Would you please remove my name and email address off this site? Nothing personal, just not my thing right now. Thank you very much.

Is it your birthday today? Is that a rumor? My head's so aswirl with all the input. If it is indeed, then happy happy birthday. I hope this amazing site you've created serves as a kind of communal gift you've given and can give back, with one big birthday shout-out! Thanks again for making this happen. I also really appreciate you planting my LOVE JUNKIE book cover on the banner, right next to the delicious Rachel Kramer Bussel offering! I hope you're having a lovely celebration.
Cheers!

I just saw that you added the screenplay art prompt to the profile. Thanks. That was fast and thoughtful turn-around to my suggestion. Very much appreciated. Im noticing a lot of my friends aren't in groups...maybe send an email to all 1,200 members reminding them to join groups.
Thanks for making those changes to include writers working in film and TV. Perhaps there might be playwrights here as well? In any event, I couldn't be happier that my little screenwriters' group is not only growing but seem to be a supportive, chatty lot as well! Thank you for creating and promoting SheWrites. I'm cross-promoting it on The Story Spot too.
I was specifically talking about when you look at your friend, just a box and their photo shows up with their name and location. I was suggesting adding their genre to that box, so that when you just glanced at people, you would see what their genre was without have to dig further to find it.
Yes, so sorry we didn't get to meet at the salon. I was away. Hope there will be another one soon! Maybe we could get together some time with Deb before I leave for Cambridge.
hi: Regarding the movie/tv posters I would just make the question on the profile broader to include images of film or tv programs that you have worked on/are working on. You can also send emails to the writers in the screenwriting group requesting that they add Jpegs of their films etc. I think the questions on the profile seem to be very book centric, which is cool, but there are playwrights and screenwriters etc. You must be so stoked...what a great start!
All the best, andrea
Here's a testimonial for SHEWRITES: This morning, a beautiful e-mail arrived from Nina Weber, a writer in Germany. I connected with Nina through SHEWRITES 2 days ago and asked her a very specific question concerning the novel I am writing. The best answer could only come from someone familiar with blooming gardens in E.Germany. I had researched through the net but was not satisfied with what I found. Nina nailed it! I am now doing cartwheels around my writing room. Thank you for your immense efforts with SHEWRITES. I look forward to meeting you very soon! Julie
Hey Kamy, Thanks for getting back to me. I'm so glad you're going to sent out an email blast, so when I communicate with other members I know whom I'm communicating with. I thought I was pretty computer savvy, but you write: You should have a "text box" that is blank and available for anything you would like to place in it. If you put a bio there everyone who visits your page can see it, and you should also be able to add JPEGs of book covers, etc. and I don't see the text box.
Hi, one other thought...it would be nice if the profile that you viewed when you look at your friends included the writer's genre: fiction, screenwriting, memoir etc. I think it's cool to see all the different writers on this site. Maybe consider adding it right under the location...growing by the hour! Congrats. Andrea
"Julie - I agree with Petrea. I've done everything she mentioned except for the video. I accept all invitations and always carry promos in my purse - bookmarks, note pads and business cards. I also joined a women's business group.…"

What platform did you build Shewrites in? I am so impressed! Were you a web developer or designer? Always a writer? Glad to find you!
