Michele, I tried to reply to your message but She Writes won't let me. I have the interview completed for you. Can you email me at khashway(at)hotmail(dot)com and I'll send it to you? Thanks!
Hi Olga, I think I still don't know how these comment pages work. Did you get a chance to post? I notice that this is from Nov 18. Let me know and sorry for the gap in communication!
Hi Michele, Let's do email. I'm at jlnewton@ucdavis.edu. I have been to NWSA but long ago at this point. Would love to hear more about you and your work.
Michele. I just accepted your friend request. Thanks.
I'd be glad to do a guest post on your blog. I'm working on mine, but it's not ready yet.
My novel's working title: Lost & Found in Russia. The date doesn't matter, whenever it's good for you. A very short description: Mother-daughter minuet, Russian style.
A longer description: One mother travels around the globe in search of her daughter, while another must delve deep into her heart to find understanding and acceptance.
Please let me know what questions I should answer and what date your would post them.
Thanks.
Olga.

Yes! I look forward to reading some of your work as well! I am so glad I read your blog post because I had not even heard of Clarion East! I might apply. Let's keep in touch.
Michele! You are the best. I love Mary Gordon's work, and have just taught her essay "My Mother's Body" in my Writing Women's Loves class (you can access at The American Scholar at http://theamericanscholar.org/my-mothers-body/). But I was not aware of Spending and am eager to get my hands on it. Thank you a million times. Your thoughtfulness and your ability to stay connected and reach out to others totally inspire me. All my best, Marilyn
Believe it or not, that was the entire letter. If you want I can forward the letter to you and it will come with my query letter and story since they were a back and forth kind of thing. I have no problems doing that and any insight your instructor provides will be appreciated.
I am enrolled in an online program to earn a BFA in creative writing at Full Sail University. My story was written as an assignment for one of my classes. My instructor, a male, really liked it and gave it an A+. I have had it edited by two different professional editors who each gave terrific insight and suggestions that I pretty much followed. I think the end result was much better than the version I submitted to my instructor. But hey, what do I know? My standards aren't that high! :P
Thank you too! Your encouragement today prompted me to write a post about something I feel particularly unqualified to comment upon, except insofar as it is an account of my own personal journey. I make no other claims to anything else hidden within it!
Hi Michele, you can combine the answers for both into one, just as I did. I'm thinking of creating a special page for blog award badges on my blog and displaying them there. Unfortunately I'm not that computer savvy so apart from copying and pasting images I don't really have a clue. For now my badges will live on the actual blog post and I'll figure out something else another day!
Thanks Michelle! I haven't really had much time to work on my book lately, but I have been keeping up with my blog. I have been THINKING a lot about writing though and sometimes that is when I work out issues in the plot - so I guess it is still part of writing. :) Hope you have a great day - and a productive one! Cheryl
Hi, Michele. So great to connect with you! I left you a link to the Woolf's "Professions for Women" in the comment section of my blog. I would love to hear more about the work you do with women and creativity. Best, Marilyn

Hi, Michele. Your classes sound amazing and very "real." Do you ever lead any classes online? Sending you my best, Marilyn
