Thank you so much for your read and your feedback. I apologize for taking so long to respond. I've got to get in the habit of checking in with my She Writers more often. I feel so inspired and uplifted when I come here to commune.
I hope that you were able to finish the short. As for now, it is only web published on the bookrix site and on my personal site, http://daneeriggs.com/index.htm- where you can also read/hear samples of some poems from my upcoming book Seasons of My Soul; A Poetry Girl's Prerogative (June 2011).
Shortly, 'My Only Son' will also be available in hard copy and I am currently looking into having it written as a screenplay for a national television network. Even when I had the idea for the story back in 91', I envisioned it as a movie to entertain and educate the youth regarding the HIV/AIDS virus.
I am so grateful for your review and look forward to hearing your thoughts when you've completed the short.
Neasha, I just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
Hi Neasha, It's not available at B&N yet because we are in the really nascent stages. We are not yet distributing nationally. We're starting out with indie book stores and selling it off Lilly Press's website. I'm selling copies right out of my briefcase as I go about my daily business--and doing pretty well with that I think, actually. But anyway, if you want to get a copy you can either come to my book launch party and get a signed copy (bit of a hike for you but you may be the adventuresome sort, I dunno)--or you can get a copy from Lilly Press right here (via PayPal) http://www.riverpoetsjournal.com/Lilly-Press-NewBooks.html

Hello Neasha. Please, please forgive me for not checking up on this account for the last three months or so. I haven't been here since March; it's really been a hectic few months but I'm hoping to get back into some serious writing and greeting with you and others on this wonderful site.
Hi Neasha. Never thought I'd meet a second "Neasha" (spelled differently or not) in my life! Anyway, if you want to read some of my stuff, there are a ton of links on my website, www.phoebewilcox.com. I'm half-deleriously anticipating my first novel coming out NEXT MONTH! Angels Carry the Sun--It's with Lilly Press. "Took me years to write, and I wanna be a paperback writer"!
Hello Neasha, I do wish you insight on that which you require to fully spread your wings and merrge with success. Your mother's day poem touched me, remembering how my children love to write me poetry and letters, as well as draw terrific story boards. Here's to creativity at it's best. Regards - Marsha
