Hey lady! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm HORRIBLE about remembering to check messages.
If you'd like to e-mail me the info, I'd be honored to post it on my Facbook pages as well as give it a shout-out on the blog! (deanspub4 at aol dot com)
The only new thing I've started is a comic blog. Gag a day thing. Just to keep my hands busy and distract the rest of me from a nasty flare. *grin*
Thank you for the wonderfully kind words! I feel the same about your writing.*hugs*
Nancy, this morning as my family sat talking about the day, phoning family members who gave their time in service of our Country, our conversation turned to you, your husband, and your book. I just wanted to tell you that you're already making a difference, even if it's not out yet. *grin*
From our family to you, we offer our heartfelt thanks to your husband for all he gave and did for all of us. And thank you for what you're doing with your book!
I keep forgetttin that i cant post a comment on your blog! heres what I wrote-
I really appreciate you providing the onfo on PTSD. I have had it all my life it seems from the abuse I suffered as a child. Ive been in therapy twice as an adult as a result of it "coming back" on me, it manifests the most in sleepwalking as with soldiers I had to literally keep one eye open in order to protect myself at night when the parent who had schitzophrenia liked to traumatise me the most after I was asleep. I always took responsibility for what I had though in spite of the fact that it wasn't something that origianlly came with me but was done to me and have tried to live as normally as possible which CAN be done with perserverance and determination. I am amazed at all you have done here with your writing! Great post! Samantha
I commented in the group already but wasnt going to comment till I had something to possibly offer here. Norman Vincent Peale talked about "Acting AS IF" and that has actually worked miracles for me in life. All I did was basically pretend like something Ive never done before was something I had always done OR Ive pretended to BE someone who I knew COULD do it. Its all just tricks to fool the mind but both ways have really worked for me and Im going to try them again for NaNoWriMo and see how it works there. I feel like you are doing Gods work Nancy and leaning on Him couldnt hurt either. :) God Bless! Samantha
Thanks for adding your info to the Volunteer page, I know you think you dont have much to offer but if everyone offers just one thing, there would be a variety of things in there. Every little thing counts!
Hi, Nancy. Thank you for your kind words. I read your blog and the blogs of others from time to time but I rarely comment. I'm not a chatty person; online or off. That's why I do not have a blog of my own... yet. I just read your latest post about selfpublishing and ebooks. To tell the truth, I'm not sure if I agree or disagree in general. I don't have anything against books in either format, but I know for sure I want an agent. I'm okay as a writer, I hope. I'm dismal at selling though, and a self-published writer must do her own promotion and selling. But I might be forced into it even if I don't self-publish. Most small publishers just don't have a budget for marketing. Some demand the writer to show their plans for marketing in the query letter. The contract I got (but haven't signed yet, still thinking) offers 40% for all digital versions of the book, not 25%. Maybe it's a good contract after all.
Nancy! It just so happens your blog is one of the ones which wont allow me to sugn in to comment but here iswhat I wrote-
Nancy, I really liked your post! Ive been preaching the glass half full on this new age for writers now since I started the groyp but you lay it all out so well! We writers will survive. I think books as paper will always be there but more than likely will be an "on demand" situation, so if you order the real thing it will be made for and you will have to pay more where ebooks will be lower. I just bought a Kobo 2 days ago-it took me over a year to break down a buy one but my kindle app on my pc is bursting and it made me realise I am on the bandwagon for sure now, might as well get the e-reader! I am also planning to try and pitch my books first through standard publishing but will give it a deadline of some kind,I think thats the wisest way right now. Thanks for this post! Samantha Stacia

Thanks lady, and no worries at all! I figured you were busy and the Winter Holidays always seem to take on a life of their own.
I hope you had an AMAZING time in Australia! (I can't begin to fathom the jet lag from that! UGH!)
I am SO looking forward to your books release, by the way! (Hubby said, "We are getting a copy, right?") So you've already sold one. *grin*
