Forgive me if I've already reached out to you, but I just wanted to add my two cents in support of the amazing Jennifer Lauck's generous offer to host our first-ever Portland She Writes meetup, on Tuesday June 29th, to celebrate our one-year anniversary. While this virtual community is wonderful, I think we all feel that gathering in person is also meaningful and crucial to our well-being, and I hope this will be the first of many such gatherings going forward.
At the anniversary meetups, we are asking attendees to participate in She Writes' Book Communion: bring one book, your own or another She Writers', and leave with another one, a perfect way to get to know each other better and to support one another's work. We will also be blowing out a candle for SW's birthday along with women gathered in 16 cities around the country (and in London!), a historic (or at least pretty darn cool) occasion.
If you can attend, or even if you can't, please RSVP to Jennifer here as a way to thank her for her willingness to step up as host.

Hello Suzy and welcome to the NaNoWriMo-group. If you look at my wordcount at Nano currently, I also belong in the "writing not fast enough"-group ;-) but I think that Nano is good for learning to write faster. Or just to have fun with a project, whatever the outcome.
See you around the group, I hope :-)
It seems like there is so much information to take in on this site - I am a real simpleton on FB. I need to take some time and seriously check this out. Maybe it's the new color scheme that is throwing me a curve?
"Wow Linda I am thrilled to dive into your memoir blog. I can sort of (sort of!) relate to all that chaos in life!! My blog is part memoir as well! Thanks for sharing I look forward to following you!
