I also work really well to picture prompts and I am liking the idea more and more of having a face I can relate to for each character whilst I write.xx

Hi Valerie! Nice to meet you and thanks for the friend add. :) I'm glad you found some of the resources I mention helpful. Be sure to keep us posted on how "Alexandra" gets on. :)
Hi Val ~ I'll check out your blog after I leave here.
I am working on a middle grade novel atm but have a YA that has been niggling at me ~ it involves dragons and was inspired by my nephews - so I guess I could have put it in the fantasy category as well. Did you join up for JuneWriMo or the Camp one? (the camp is by the same peeps who do NaNo I believe). I haven't checked in there today - I really should especially since it all kicks off tomorrow! (yikes - June already!)
I hear you about revisiting your work - I found that when I went back to work on the novel I kept putting aside that's why I decided to do the June challenge - I'm hoping it will keep me focused on that novel so I can finally finish it and polish it up.
I don't just write MG/YA though - I've also tried my hand at a romantic thriller. I seem to be able to get close to the finish line and then for some reason I stale - I've got to move past that barrier and get them done/face why I stop myself. Looking forward to these two challenges in June. :)
Valerie: I hear that, I was recently thinking the same thing re: some books I've had sitting on a shelf for a while. What's the sense in buying them if I'm not going to use them? (or at least crack them open. lol!) So you're not exactly following her plan (just what strikes you) or you are plus adding your own twist?
I'm in Ontario ~ we are melting quickly here, this May has been insanely hot. (at least it seems that way to me. lol!)
I'll add your blog to my list - I believe you have a link above. Your pics (above) are gorgeous btw - what incredible shots.
I just found your other post - for some reason I thought it was in the group section but it was on my page - oops! lol! Anyway, yes I know the book is out there, I did a search for it however I didn't find many favourable reviews so I'm still debating. I think with both Camp Nano and June Nano starting on Friday I may just do those and watch how the two of you do with the exercises/wait for the feedback.
I'm also in Canada! Whoohoo, another Canuck. lol! :D Thanks again for the invite - I look forward to following your progress. :)

Hi Valerie,
I've had more than one short story emerge from my file of clipped images. There are some faces that just beg for their story to be told.
Hi Valerie! That sounds great I can't wait to hear more, I love the PIP name!
Hi, Valerie, nice to meet you!
