Hi Sheana, thanks for the welcome! Can you email me your blog? I don't know much about optimization but I know there are free plug ins that will do this for your site automatically. Send me the link to your blog and I can look at the code to see what you have now.
Hi Sheana. It's been a million months since I was here. My biography proposal was passed on...ugh...but yours must be really happening by now! I would love to connect. Take care,
You're welcome, Sheana. When I started with WP, I had to figure it out on my own. I knew other bloggers would probably have similar problems. Hope it's helped you/
Hello! Thank you for such a warm welcome. I am thrilled that my little article was helpful. I can't wait to read your biography. What a fascinating topic!
I'm glad you liked the link, it's rare to find a one stop reference for arab literature in english, so I was pleased to find it too.
Sure, send me your book to claire.mcalpine@gmail.com it may take me a little while, I have another book I am reading as a beta-reader which I haven't started yet and must get to soon. But I am excited to read your book and can't wait to discover this reknowned woman who has influenced so many. Claire
Hi there. Thanks for writing. The subject of my bio is the Zen teacher Joko Beck, who just died in June, so it's a bit tricky....I have a great agent who is awaiting the proposal. I am interviewing people, writing, and worrying a lot :), which I am sure you can appreciate! I have never written a biography before, so there learning curve is pretty major.
I look forward to hearing more about your process. I looked at your blog and really like it. I can't believe you've been working on this for 10 years! Lord, I do not have time for that....I hope the proposal is finished in a couple months.
Great - my husband's family are from Bethlehem in Palestine, we spent a few months there when our children were small, I love accessing film and literature from the region and particularly the feminine perspective.
I have a couple of biographies on my reading pile Wangari Maathai and Aung San Suu Kyi, but I would love to read yours and review it, though bear in mind I'd be coming from the naive perspective of not being aware of Stella previously, but she sounds fascinating and if she comes alive in the book, all the better.
hi again, just wanted to say I loved your review of that fabulous film 'Women without Men' which I saw twice, once in London and then a few months ago when it was shown here in France; it was even more insightful to have seen it a second time, what visual poetry, so wonderful to see a film unconstrained by the pressures of populist ideals. I had to seach the Levantine site though because the link took me to your Rachel Corrie review, so you may wish to fix that link on your website. What is your connection to the Levantine? I recently discovered this blog which may interest you http://arablit.wordpress.com/
Nice to connect here and on F/B. I've got to spend more time on SheWrites ... *sigh* ... time ...

Hi Sheana, Thanks for the friend request and the Facebook Like. I was happy to Like your page as well. Would love to hear more about your book and would be happy to chat with you when it comes out about an Adventure by the Book :>)
Hi, Sheana -- Just added you as a friend. And I'm happy to 'like' your FB page. Someone told me, though, that when you send 'like' messages to FB pages consecutively, FB thinks it's spam. My page, for example, doesn't show any notification that you posted on my wall or 'liked' my page. And I found the same thing when I randomly checked one or two others. Could just be a delay, but since I was advised about this issue, I thought I'd pass it along. Most important of all, though, congrats on the upcoming book. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
Hi Sheana
Really sorry for the delay. I've actually had to put my book on hold and focus on my screenplays because I'm glad to say, several producers are asking to read them!
Very pleased to know you.

"Ann, I tried to comment on your award as well, but somehow can't find the thread either. Big congratulations! Wow, between you and Judith you guys are setting the bar pretty high around here. "
