So true, Tania. I don't think you know about the braid before you have kids. From the outside observer it just looks like a tangled mess...

Tania, I loved your description of SW (in comments on my last post) as a house of many rooms -- so a propos. Thank you for your beautiful words, and for being here, truly. xo

Tania is THE BEST!!! Just thought I'd say that here :) Thank you for participating in my feedback exchange. I felt honored that you responded to my excerpt, and in such a helpful way. Let's see if it catches on!

Hi Tania - I hope that you found the mentor site? Let me know if you have any problems. Yes, I know Utica NY. I was born in Schenectady NY, and most of my life in Saratoga Springs NY, three years in New Hampshire, and twice we tried living in Florida, the first time I hated it, and the second time I loved it, and my husband was complete opposite in feelings, he loved it the first time, and hated it the second time. We never did get together on that one. We are here in Florida until Sunday, and trying to write on this small keyboard, what a pain in the neck! But I do like to connect when possible.

Hi Tania, it's nice to meet you, and thank you for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I always appreciate book recommendations - I've heard of Silvia Earle in passing so that sounds like a great one to check out.
I'm just finishing John McPhee's The Control of Nature - it's a good one if you can find it.

Cheers,
Maggie

Dear Tania,

I couldn't get your video to load on my computer...but I will be in a hot search for a computer that will let me view your awesome creation.

I was grateful for your bio on the Mom Egg Blog as it sent me to you some of your poems. The Painter's Wife is amazing. At first it made me crazy with anger...then it had me crying...all of the emotions coming easy as experiencing a day. Great work!

Tania, Thanks for your comment (here and on my blog). I loved that quote from Allison Winn Scotch's article as well. And, it took me a while to get used to Twitter. But, I find so many resourceful - and interesting - links to articles there.

True, true. It's worth more on the page than stuck in the logjam of our minds.

Thank you so much for the lovely and encouraging comment on my post about writing classes. I know that at some point classes like the one BK has shared with us will be part of She Writes -- I think right now we are just trying to figure out if we are ready and able to give them the support and visibility they deserve, and if the community is ready to absorb so many different kinds of offerings here! Glad you are here, as ever,
Kamy

Tania, thank you for your inbox message! I sent a reply.

I'm still getting used to the differences with WordPress, and I'm trying to keep track of my impressions so that I can post some observations on the Bloggers group in a few days. This was the discussion I looked at that helped me to decide:

Blogger vs. WordPress? Looking for advice!

For now, I can say that Blogger had more freedom to change the look within a theme (such as being able to change the CSS without having to pay for an extra upgrade service), but I think I'm going to enjoy WordPress's ease of connecting with other bloggers and getting more readers in general. I hope to have a stronger opinion in a few days... For now I'm cleaning up a lot of HTML that didn't import 100% smoothly. It's giving me a chance to go through old posts and get a better idea of the "big picture" I want for my blog.

I'd love to hear more about your second site, when you have a chance.

Tania,

Yes. All of the above. It was like Vegas for writers--so much action (for better or for worse). The group I traveled with were very ready to go home at the end of it...but we also were sure to book our hotel for next year before we left :).

On the better side of AWP, I was able to meet Jessica. She is charming and has many nice things to say about you. I hope you do go next year. It would be wonderful to meet you.

I've got a Jamis I haven't been on in months. Same for my husband and his Ellsworth. It's just been too cold. Hope to get back on in a week or two. But winter came back to Moab last night. Brrrr.

Thanks for checking out my books, website.
