At the moment I am publishing personal essays and my "erotic contemporary women's fiction" will be published this year. I also edit both freelance and for Pink Fish Press.
Hi Rebecca--thanks for reaching out...and friending me!

One time, I ordered something over the phone. The woman asked how I spell my last name. I said, "Batman, you know..." and sang the song. She went, "N A N A N A." I had serious doubts about the educational system in America.
Hi and welcome to Mother Writer,Rebecca! Feel free to introduce yourself, browse the threads or start one of your own.And again welcome to Mother Writer. k. swearingen (admin)
Wellll....actually I also just tested for my English credential, so next year I'll be teaching Math and English. I'm working my full Gemini brain potential. :) How long did you teach college English? (Sometimes I dream of teaching college level...but I think when I'm all done with the teaching it will be writing full-time!)
At the moment I have three favorite eras - Victorian, medieval, and ww2 - but my next book is set during the French Rev (it's a teen vampire romp, believe it or not) and I'm having a lot of fun researching that.
Great to meet you - you sound like a very busy person from your profile! Good luck with your YA fantasy book. I also write YA (and some other stuff) but with a historical twist.
We love Palo Alto. But NC is lovely as well. I read in Raleigh and did a lunch in Chapel Hill last spring, on book tour. (In April, and it was the first place on tour that it didn't SNOW on me!)
Rebecca, We're delighted to have you in the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. We save the wall for discussion, so please refrain from linking to blog posts there, but do add them in the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread.
And we do a live chat every Wednesday at 1EST; instructions on how to participate are in the "Our Water Cooler Wednesdays" box near the top of the group page.
Hi Rebecca. As for your question, I feel equally at home in my home town of Sydney as I do in my adopted home of New York. Each city is different and has its own appeal. I just wish my family and old friends weren't quite so far away! I'm a heavy user of Skype ... Welcome to SheWrites. I got a bit overwhelmed at first when I joined, so my advice is to be careful about your message settings.
