Judy, We're delighted to have you join us in the novelist group! If you haven’t done so already, you might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion. We do a live chat Wednesdays at 1 EST, with instructions on how to participate in the "Our Water Cooler" box near the top of the group page. And we save the wall for discussion, but welcome links to helpful blog posts on the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread and to published books in the “Our Published Novels” one. I hope you’ll enjoy the group.

Date for the December meetup is Tuesday, December 6. I'm finalizing a venue now. It will be a special meeting with critically acclaimed author Tayari Jones who happens to be in San Diego for her new book, Silver Sparrow, so we will be doing a special happy hour event with her in lieu of a traditional meeting. More info to come soon, but hold the date :>)
When I saw your name, I wanted to say hi. I was a writer in San Diego for many years, but somehow missed meeting you. I'm working on a novel too, my second. The first is not published yet, but still working on that. I'll be signing my book "Leave Only Paw Prints, Dog Hikes in San Diego County," Saturday, Sept. 3, so if you are in the neighborhood, stop in and say hello. I'd love to meet you in person.
Thanks, Judy! I love all that you do, too! And now you're working on a novel--how fun! I've been working on getting a published version of Wise Women Write so I decided to ramp up my She Writes participation. It's really like Facebook for women writers--I just have to get the hang of it!
I'll be reading from my new memoir, The Possibility of Everything (www.thepossibilityofeverything.com) and talking about memoir at Warwick's Books in La Jolla at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10. Hoping that you can make it--would love to meet some SheWrites members in the San Diego area. I'm up in LA, myself.
"Very exciting, Rysa! I'll head over and check it out! I just published my first novel with Createspace. It's a romance titled, Tripped Up Love. (Apologies if I posted this on here already...I seem to be very forgetful…"
