My book, Setting the Furies Free, has recently been released.  It is a book of poetry from the perspective of a cancer patients spouse.  Proceeds benefit American Cancer Society.  Please help support a good cause.

My book, Forgetting English, was reissued this month by Press 53, and it's all spiffy with a gorgeous new cover and two new stories! Available at any bookstore, on Amazon -- and better yet, through Press 53, which helps support the small presses.

Getting a great response for the piece I wrote about the NORML conference in Denver last week (for the legalization of medical marijuana). It's lots of photos and a fun read. Stop by, check out, leave a comment:

I was recently one of eleven winners of the international Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition and won first place honors from the North Carolina Poetry Society.  My third collection, In the Palms of Angels, with an Introduction written by Ron Powers, the Pulitzer Prize winning co-author of True Compass and Flags of Our Fathers, with a glowing endorsement from nationally syndicated columnist Sharon Randall, was just released on April 1 by the wonderful Press 53.  It's now available on Amazon and other Internet outlets.  Please visit my website for more info about me and my new book!  Love to all you women writers out there...and Happy National Poetry Month!

I could use all the help I can get spreading the word about my horror novel.  Please see below for details:

Just.Another.Common.Killer
by Chantal Bellehumeur

Under hypnosis, six-year-old Jack Huntington tells his psychiatrist the dark unsolved tale of Jack the Ripper’s 19th century murders. Such details are given, that Dr. Philips begins to believe that his patient might be the Ripper himself in another life. When the boy fails to give him any information that would reveal the identity of the White Chapel killer, Dr. Philips ridicules himself for having thought the impossible.
Years after killing his sisters in a sleepwalking state, Jack is claimed normal and able to re-enter the real world. He is released from the mental institution to start a new life, but slowly starts to act upon his killer instincts and begins to remember events that happened over one hundred years ago.
Jack is ready for new games!

Available to purchase at www.rosedogbookstore.com and Amazon.

(On a side note, I've been told this would make a good movie.  Anyone has an idea of whom I am supposed to talk to about this?)

Hello!

If you or someone you know suffers from LYME disease, please read my article: Lyme Time in the May issue of New Jersey Monthly magazine or at Lyme Time.  The article includes general information, patient challenges and controversial aspects of the disease.  Please share it; it contains great tips for prevention and this is Lyme season.

Greetings, SheWrites community. I'm getting a big response for my latest piece on Open Salon, where I discuss Kristen LaBrie's recent conviction for attempted murder of her autistic and cancer-stricken son. Who's really to blame? I take a look at healthcare and our allegiance to chemotherapy, which has dismal success rates:

My life initially began when Tom Livsey, a CNN Reporter, came into my life.  I'd like to share with everyone that I'm in an article on CNN.  Please read the article on myself and leave heartfelt comments at http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-592083  My comment is below.

I can't express the heartfelt feelings that I'm experiencing now.  I felt tears run down my face this morning and I knew it was the day.  The day that I had been waiting for to stop running inside and sit back and say I'm safe.  This is the time to reflect my feelings of thankfulness that I have reached this point.  When I spoke to the editor who wrote this story for me last night, Tom Livsey, that's when it happened.

If my story can help others to end violence against women, or at least put it under some kind of control, than I've done something to end the struggle and pain for myself and so many other women out there that are helpless in a system where there is sometimes no sympathy seemingly or compassion for our situation.  Please help me change this by leaving your heartfelt comments so we can continue this venture and journey with Tom and are through CNN and many other outlets to come.
