Eileen ~ We have a terrier mix & a rhodesian ridgeback (the mastiff version). Quite the comedy routine around here, especially when the terrier is in a mood. She'll poke at him to pick a fight then hide. Absolutely love dog people! Thank you for your note.:) ~ Kate
We've got a Terrier mix pup as well - Tessa (The Wonder Dog) is a rescue too. She's got a category on my blog and is going to be the featured star in the last chapter of my book. Would love to see a photo of yours. - Kathy

Hi Eileen. Thanks for the friend add and joining the 6 word memoir group. I have not been to SW in awhile. Thanks for bringing me back to this great site! Happy Thanksgiving!
Looking forward to visiting. How fun. I want to hear all about Zoozle (sp?) and your agent hunt.
Let's make it August 18. 11:00 is fine for me - earlier is okay, too. We leave tonight for a few days of camping so I'll be away until Monday. We can pick the place closer to the meeting date unless you know where you want to go. Lots of choices.
Perfect. We can also meet in Burbank if that would be better for you. I think there are several nice eateries there just off the 5 Freeway. But I know Pasadena a bit better. Since I think you'll be driving the farthest, I'll let you choose.
Anytime on Tues, Wed, or Thursday would work for me.
If you're in Santa Clarita, Burbank/Glendale would be more in the middle. But first, I want to finish my YA (and then I have a house guest for a week) so maybe about the 2nd week in August. Is that too far in the future? Maybe we'll both be on the road to getting agents by then. Wouldn't that be great?
I sent the following message before I read your message. Hey, we should meet for lunch or tea or something. Are you taking UCLA summer quarter classes? I could drive to Westwood or Santa Monica or someplace in the Valley (you live in the SF Valley, right?)
So how are you doing? Is the book "done" done and have you submitted it to any agent or publisher yet? I'm pushing myself to finish my YA this month so I start my agent search. All the elements are there but maybe a third of the chapters still need work and a few more aren't exciting enough. How did last quarter's UCLA classes go?
"Hi. In January I published my little book through FeedaRead. Awful name, great resource. It's (British) Arts Council funded, which means you can publish your book at no charge! They even have cover art you can select…"
Are you hiding under your book or WIP? Do you wonder what in the heck "author's platform" is and if fiction authors even need one? This group is for you if:- you think you don't have time or you are too shy to market yourself BEFORE the book deal-…See More
"Hi, nice to be here, I've just joined She Writes and am finding my way around. I live in England.
In January I self-published a little book, an introduction to personal transformation, at first only available through me. I'm…"
