Thanks, Lorena! Looking forward to staying connected. Sorry I can;t write more now--I live in Japan, and while we are in a region that had no damage from the quake and will probably not be in danger from the nuclear issue, things are still hectic here. Looking forward to seeing you both here and on twitter though. All my best!

I write mostly non-fiction and am currently working on a collection of personal essays dispelling the myths of newlywed bliss (I am trying right now to learn about writing for television and writing book reviews). Your book, Happy Beginnings, looks so inspirational! Not to mention all your marketing genius on your website! I'm just starting out in my writing career-as you've written a fabulous book based on personal experience, I would love to hear more about how you got started and how you leveraged your talent into speaking engagements. I would so appreciate some guidance from such a seasoned professional! Would you mind if I asked you some questions?
Thanks so much for the feedback on my blog! I look forward to getting to know each and other our writing!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the excerpts, Lorena! My loves of poetry and alliteration are a lot more evident in my comedy than in my drama. And my characters don't always start strong. (Often, they THINK they are.) But, they eventually get there. My thriller, "Drainage," is a little more about survival, nature vs. nurture, justice and not judging a book by its cover.
I enjoyed reading your excerpts on your site and Facebook. And I look forward to reading more about Beatrice -- and to our friendship here, of course! I hope you're having a great day!
Hey! Thanks for adding me. I would love to review your book, but since I'm still in school right now and my semester won't end until May, I probably wouldn't be able to get around to reading it until then. I was able to review a book this past week because it was my spring break and I had some time. I've tried to read during the semester in the past and my focus is always compromised by it, so I wouldn't want to commit to reviewing your book and not be able to give it the review it deserves because of school. However, if you are still wanting me to review it around May, just let me know. Or, if you're comfortable with sending me the book now and waiting for the review for a couple of months, I can give you an address to send it to. That's what I had to do for this last book I reviewed. I received it the end of January, but didn't get to actually read it until this week because I thought I was going to get it before school started back. If you'd rather wait until May, though, I'm completely fine with that. Just let me know!

I write mostly fiction -- drama, comedy and thriller. But, I've been adapting scripts I wrote years ago. And I've always loved and written poetry. So, you can see influences of both in my novels. There's a specific rhythm in my head for each scene which is reflected in the prose. I tend to write stories about characters who battle with balancing self-acceptance, work, love and family. I post excerpts on my site and Scribd. (I just posted two new ones Wednesday.) I hope you like them!
Thanks so much Lorena. If you could share the website with anyone you think could use it, that would be great (even just posting it on your She Writes page would be great). I will keep you posted as things develop. All the best to you, friend. e.
"Meg--What is truly inspiring about this recent boost in sales is that this is for a book you published years ago (I know because I just read the sample and bought it). It proves that an author's backlist can still have a lot of life in…"
