I'm very happy to be here. This is my first publication since starting hemodialysis, so it's commemorative in a way, a sign that I can still have a full live despite kidney failure. I needed this :-)

Hey Barbara, Thanks for your interest in doing a guest post! I just put this on our Blooming Late site but wanted to email you here, too:

Thanks for the interest in doing a guest blog on women writers of the past who inspire us today. You can send your posts (200-500 words app) to me through my personal email mtb@creativetickle.com or message me privately through She Writes.  Please include a short bio, website or blog link...This is all about promoting you and your work, too!

I think it would be easier to chose 1 writer than several, but I'm open. Whenever I get your post, I'll try to turn it around within a day or two and then send you the link, so you can also post it where you'd like.

Sound good?

In gratitude,

Michele

I know what you mean about home!

I've been staying in a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere over the Bank Holiday, with no Internet or TV, deer and owls for company and only a couple of houses in the valley.

But it was nice to get home. And we don't get hurricanes here.

But enjoy the hotel while it lasts :)

Sounds great, Barbara. Hamden is just north of New Haven. Lots of writers here, but not an especially organized community...

Oooh, I'd forgotten about PDFs. We're behind on ebooks here in the UK, so just catching up.

Thanks, Barbara, and I'll PDF your book if I haven't sorted out a Kindle first.

Just weeks away to publication, eh? I bet you can't wait.

Enjoy!

Yes, I love it here, too!

Love the blog, and the book. I'm going to have to get that Kindle I've promised myself this autumn if I'm a good girl!

Here's to the exciting countdown!

Actually I didnt leave a comment in your blog in favor of writing you in the group, sorry about that! I feel when I comment within the group about everyones blogs it gives a little more press for that person. But its a good idea you had, I wonder if once in awhile I shouldnt have some sort of contest within the group? What do you think?

Thanks, Barbara! Forgive me if I'm repeating myself--can't remember what I already told you. My novel is historical fiction, appropriate for high school age and up. Do you only cover young adult? The novel takes place on a violet farm in the Hudson Valley in 1898. It's the story of a mother and a daughter who are driven to extremes and driven apart in a quest to keep their family's farm. Later than January would be great--maybe June? Let me know how things work... Also, are you still in Stamford (saw that somewhere online)? I'm in Hamden.

Okay Barbara here are the instructions for uploading a movie to your blog. Let me know if you need more help.

Step 1: Go to the Youtube movie you want to add to your blog. Below it should be an "Embed" button. Click on it and below it should appear an Embed code. Copy it by right clicking with your mouse.

Step 2: Go to your Blogger dashboard and hit "New Post". When the Post window comes up, click on the "Edit HTML" tab at the top. Then Paste the Embed code you copied on Youtube in the post window.

After you add the movie you can type up your post. When you're all finished, hit save and publish.

Hope this helps!

Hey Barbara,

Thanks for the comment. Adding video to your blog is a little different for each formate. What kind of blog do you have? Blogger? Wordpress?
