Hi Samantha - thanks for the heads up...I was trying to add more and I keep getting a message my quota for requests is up... I think I will check back in a couple of days and see if it allows me to add. I have been trying to go page by page, hoping not to miss anyone. I am also trying to look at everyone's bio. It does take time, but it is very interesting. This is a very good group of people. Have a great day. Elisabeth
Thank you Samantha. I am trying to connect to others in the group. With so many members it is going to take awhile. I am happy with the activity I see. Elisabeth
Thanks so much! I have gone on and introduced myself, put up my blog, twitter and i have now created my FB author page which I was kind of putting off. But it is there now. I went ahead and added as many people as I could. Yay! Homework done! I am much more active on Twitter than Facebook. I think my add likes how fast twitter is and not always fond of the drama that is FB. Is connecting with everyone you've ever known a good idea? Lol. I am excited about this group and will be as active as I can and still get my writing done. Thanks so much for the warm welcome!!
Thank you Samantha for welcoming me. I've been at the Pacific North West Writer's conference which ended Sunday. Lot of good topics, lots of editor and agents, made a few good contacts.
Hi, hope you have a good week and I hope to have time to read the blogs, catch up on what everyone is doing, and get some writing done myself...more difficult than it should be. Isn't summer suppose to be "easier" in some ways? I am not finding that the case this year. I work at a major university and it seems everyone is still in high gear. It is really killing my creative side this month!
Thank you Samantha for the warm words of welcome! It's wonderful to find a group of women all interestd in so many of the same things. I look forward to becoming an active participant!
I'm slow. I'll admit it. I just noticed your note. Hard to track all my communiques from so many different sites like this one.
To answer your question, my husband died of medullary thyroid cancer, the rarest, most aggressive of the four thyroid cancers for which there is no known cure. He lost the battle after 8.5 years. He died 32 days before our 15th wedding anniversary. I love to hear stories like yours where the MDs gave him weeks to live and years later is still here.
Hi Samantha, I am so sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I live a very busy life it seems. I thought this summer would be relaxing one but alas with two grandchildren here for the summer, helping with my aged parents (which is really a blessing) and trying to do everything else in between well, I tend to get behind. I have not written much on my blog in awhile either unfortunately. I started it just to record things I enjoyed especially my photography and then added some of my stories. It is fun. I love genealogy too. I started that blog "last summer" as a way to keep up with my work and for my children to have someday. I watched the Hatfield and McCoys too. It was so good. And oh my gosh Kevin Costner is such a doll. Someday when they make a movie from my novel I choose Kevin to be my protagonist. LOL. Thank you for all the information. I know I am going to really enjoy being part of this group. I hope to find time to work everything back in. I will start back to work middle of August then it will really be like a tightrope around my house trying to keep my feet grounded. Back to the genealogy, my great-aunt did most of the work on my maternal side of the family and found we are descendants from Princess Nikita who was a sister of Pocahantas. WOW! This would be really something if it is indeed accurate. Thanks again for your warm welcome.
Thank you for the welcome here and on Twitter. I look forward to getting to know the group better. heading over ot the Welcome to your group section now. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind welcome and encouraging words, Samantha.
I do indeed have those "necessary evils" you mentioned - Twitter and Facebook - for Burn Bright. I modified my She Writes profile to include the Facebook account I forgot to add.
I am looking forward to being happily interacting with the group. Thanks again.
Thanks for welcoming me to your group. I am continuing to plug away on the novel and am on facebook. I hadn't yet joined Twitter. I'm also on Linked-In and have quite a few friends and contacts ther and through work and the UCLA writer's program which will help to publicize the work when it is done.
My goal is 100 Likes and so far, it appears I have stalled on 41. Feel free to cruise on by and like so you can get notices about posts and anything else that is going on.

Thanks, Samantha,
So glad I found SheWrites, especially the Blooming Late group. I'm going to check things out and introduce myself.
I can't figure out how to ask if anyone knows of a good book cover artist?
Thanks, Samantha! I'm looking forward to participating.
Thanks for the welcome Samantha, I'm looking forward to meeting some other "late bloomers" in your group!
Thank you. I've been having fun reading all the discussions in this group. It's nice to know there are so many of us out here!

Thank you for your critique. I agree with the three-pronged approach. That said, you can find my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/BoricuaConfidential.
