That is to say...printed the book. Laying out and printing takes some time. The good thing is you live in NYC and maybe there are ways to get this done ASAP. Another consideration is to upload files to LuLu.com. They can get a printed book to you within a week. Start up costs are zero but each book cost more than printed (offset ) books. Offset printing is usually cheaper but you must buy in quantity. On the other hand, you may just want to put together a book using Kinkos. This would work if the book is short and spiral bound.

I am in the process of self publishing myself. My book is slated to be released by December 19th. I was thinking of going at it completely by myself. I just got my ISBN number etc...listed it on Amazon, etc...now, it's a matter of laying out the book and sending to the printer...is this a bad idea?
