What is life
but
an idle boat,
isolated
upon
a raging sea of possibility:
sink/swim
sink/swim
sink/swim,
sound the waves
flapping
against the bow & stern (countenance),
in tune
with one's doubts;
sometimes
it is a gentle patter,
softened
by
arrogance in assured destinations,
or else
it is a rough clatter,
battered,
drowning
w/out
clear landing in sight,
except for
water, water everywhere
and not a drop to
drink
of
this good life.
