What is a thought?

A thought is an electrical impulse, which fires up your neurons that are your brain cells. Neurons are electrical excitable cells that process and transmit information via your five senses.

These impulses can be triggered by what you see, hear, taste, touch or smell, they can also be triggered by memories of what you have seen, heard, smelt, touched and tasted.

Most of your thoughts are repetitive in nature; in other words, you think a large number of the same thoughts every day. For example, if you have a repetitive thought like ‘I am not good with people’, your brain is wired to provide evidence to support the thoughts that you are repeating.  If you think you are not good at writing, you find evidence to support that thought.

Your brain is listening to everything you are thinking and like a loyal dog; your brain will find lots of evidence to support your thoughts.
