Autumn Haiku

Autumn inspires all sorts of artful expression in me.  Autumn is my favorite season!  The foliage of New England has been quite stunning this month and I have loved moving about outdoors. When my friend and I met to write last Monday evening, we wrote some haiku inspired by the season and shared them in popcorn fashion.  Below are the ones I wrote.

Walk to catch the train ~

Sunflowers smiling at me,

Gardens full of food.

Picking crisp apples,

Hay rides quick and colorful,

Fragrant foliage.

Cycling to the farm ~

Colorful bounty to cook;

Abundant pumpkins.

Afternoon woods walk,

Soup and cider for supper,

Songs by a bonfire.
