No matter what you write – novels, blog posts, essays, reviews, short stories, etc. - you need a place to do that, actually.

Your personal writing cabinet.

Lucky you are if you work from home and have a chance to organize your place for writing yourself! However, you should understand what environment has a huge impact on creativity, inspiration and productivity of a writer.

We all know how time and energy consuming writing can be, and work from home doesn't make it easier. That's why it is very important to organize your home writing cabinet in a way its items and energetics influenced you positively.

The below infographic from OmniPapers provides a very good cheat sheet for those men of pen who want to organize productive workplace but still don't know what to start with. Check it out and take the following points into consideration:

  • 1. Organize your writing desk.

There are some important items one should have on a desk to improve work and make it more effective: a desk lamp with good light, stickers, live plants, a cup of green tea (sorry, coffee addicts) - they all influence your writing even if you don't notice that.

  • 2. Think of having a good PC.

Think of having an All-in-One PC to forget about wires but get advantages of both desktop PCs and laptops.

  • 3. Organize your cabinet.

Divide it into two zones (for computer and non-computer work), think of walls color (it impacts productivity, too), don't forget to add some comfort and health – and your writing ideas will flourish by all means.
