3 Reasons Why You Should Be Wearing Pajamas to Bed

Remember the importance of pajamas when you were a kid? Not only were they required for each night, they were fun to wear! Think superhero themes or pretty, colorful designs. Then somewhere along the way, your love of pajamas slipped away.

Everyone’s different when it comes to nightwear—some people toss on a t-shirt and call it a night while others look like princesses in the gorgeous, expensive nightgowns they own. There has to be a happy medium, right?

Having comfy shorts and silky shirts to lounge around in is simply a necessity.

Here are three reasons why you should add a pajama section to your wardrobe and get back in touch with your love of pajamas!

1. Pajamas are more comfortable.

Chances are, you probably don’t care about your appearance right before bed. That’s okay, there are other reasons why pajamas are important—like simple comfort. Being dressed in comfortable clothing can help your sleeping habits by making it easier to fall asleep.

Try some silky fabrics when you’re shopping. They’ll keep you cool in summer and comfy in the winter. They’re an all-around smart buy.

Once you have your pajamas, you won’t have to worry about getting all tangled up in a ratty old sweatshirt anymore. While you’re tossing and turning in bed, old t-shirts and sweatshirts can be uncomfortable or feel like they’re choking you. That’s a problem you won’t have to worry about in pajamas.

Worn out t-shirts simply aren’t as nice of a material as the new PJs you’re going to be stocking up on!

2. Pajamas are great for sleepovers.

What do you do if you have a friend coming to visit for a few days? You don’t want to be embarrassed by what you wear to bed. Your friends probably won’t judge you, but you don’t want to seem careless either.

What about if your boyfriend is sleeping over for the first time? What are you going to wear to impress him, some old gym shorts and an oversized tank top? You want to dress to impress even when you’re heading to sleep!

Cue some cute pajamas.

Plus, just lounging around in pajamas you feel pretty in will make you feel more productive. Perhaps you’ll read a book instead of sinking into your couch and tossing chips into your mouth. Well, maybe.

3. Having pajamas helps to organize your wardrobe.

If you use your gym clothes to go to sleep, what if you get them all dirty before bed? If you have a good week at the gym or you go for a run every morning, it sounds like you’ll be out of luck when it’s time to hit the sack.

Having specific clothes for bed helps to organize your wardrobe and give more order to your life. No more worrying about what to wear to bed-- kick that bad habit and get yourself some clothes you can designate specifically for bed.
