I just have to say that I feel just like a child. Every phase of this first book experience is great. I know just last week I was discouraged but see that's part of this new youth syndrome. While I so loved the writing of the stories and seeing my vision into the finish book form I really don't like the promoting.

However I do know that it must be done and only I can do it so I'm going after it with the heart of a child in a 61 year old body. I just celebrated my birthday a few days ago and I felt great in the sense that I did accomplish my hearts desire of becoming a published author. I know if I never write another one I did do what I set out to do. 

However that's not just all of what I wanted to do. I want to be a best seller....I know I hear the laughs but a vintage lady has to have dreams. So what has me excited this week...you ask? On my birthday July 6th my first Goodreads contest was completed. I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing but hey what else is new? At any rate by the end of the free book give aways I have 583 people who signed up for the contest and I proudly but humbly sent off the 10 copies to the winners.

Now what do I do? Now that sure but what I do know is that the publicist will begin in September. I will be signing and promoting the book at the Baltimore book festival in September. The book will be part of the Toronto street book festival in September and in August it will be featured as one of the must read books for a blog site. Still really don't know what I'm doing but I must say I'm having a great time doing it....ha,ha,ha
