I looked up just now and realized I'd been writing for about 2-1/2 hours.  It's almost 2 a.m. EST!  Despite the fact that I desperately need to get some sleep, I guess couldn't help myself.  I needed to write tonight. I needed to write for me, as if my soul needed it badly.

I'm still not sure where I'm going with this, whether there's an actual novel of half truth/half fiction in this mess of thoughts and events and feelings or if it's even a decent short-story or if it's just my ramblings that don't belong anywhere but in the documents folder of my laptop.  How does one know this?  This idea of actual writing more and more for myself, for others, and that I could actually earn money doing it, is completely new and surprising to me.  Sure, I'm starting off quite small, but it's a start.

Perhaps, once I get everything out of my head, I can pull it all together to fit this idea I have in my mind of how the book should be, that it will work with the title I've found quite befitting of the whole thing.  Guess we'll see eventually.

Do you share parts of your writing with others for critique?  Are you like me and write out of order?  I'm sure you know what I mean, start writing something that may be in a later chapter and not with chapter one.

Then there's the big question.  If you're writing about someone and they figure it out, what do you do or say if they get upset with you?  I keep telling myself that no one reads in my family so I have nothing to worry about! Ha!  They have surprised me though in the past.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my post.  I'm here to learn as much as I can from my fellow writers and can't wait to do so.
